Returns & Exchanges Policy

Thank you for shopping at www.mottandbow.us. We want you to be happy with your purchase. Our Returns & Exchanges Policy explains eligibility, timelines, and how returns, exchanges, and credits are handled.

1. Return Window – United States

For orders shipped within the United States, you may return most eligible items within 30 calendar days from the delivery date for a return credit. Extended return periods may apply for promotional or holiday purchase windows. Items must be returned in unworn, unwashed, and unaltered condition with original tags and packaging.

2. Return Window – International Orders

For orders shipped outside the United States, the return window is generally 45 days from the delivery date for eligible physical returns. This timeframe ensures that international returns arrive at our facility in time to be processed. Items must be in original, resalable 

3. How Refunds are Issued

Refunds for returned items are issued as store credit in the form of a Mott & Bow gift card delivered to your email. Refunds to the original payment method are not offered. Returned merchandise credit does not expire and may be used toward future purchases on www.mottandbow.us. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

4. Return Processing Fees

Returns incur a processing fee per return (not per item):

  • $9 USD for mail-in returns using our prepaid label;
  • $5 USD for returns dropped off at participating Happy Returns locations.
The processing fee will be deducted from your return credit. 

5. Exchanges

Exchanges are available for customers who want a different size of the same item. You may only exchange each item once. Exchanges for different styles or products that are not the same item must be processed as a return followed by a new purchase. Exchanges may be completed either by mail or at a Happy Returns location. When an item is dropped off at a Happy Returns location, the exchange is often processed immediately, and you will receive tracking details by email. 

6. Return and Exchange Instructions

To start a return or exchange, visit our Returns Portal and enter your order number and email address. You will be guided through the return/exchange steps and will receive a prepaid label for mail returns or assistance identifying a local Happy Returns drop-off location. Follow the instructions provided in the portal to complete your return. 

7. Return Conditions

Returned items must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, and in original condition;
  • With all original tags, labels, and packaging attached;
  • Free from odors, makeup, and pet hair.
If returned items do not meet these conditions, we may refuse the return or return the items to you at your cost.

8. Undeliverable or Rejected Shipments

If a return shipment is undeliverable due to an incorrect address or refusal by the recipient, return shipping and related costs may be deducted from your refund. Please ensure your shipping address is accurate when submitting your return request. 

9. International Return Costs

For international returns, all shipping charges (round trip) and any customs duties, import taxes, or other fees are the customer’s responsibility and will be deducted from your return credit. We recommend using a trackable service and insured shipping for international returns.
